WWPA Championship Day 2: All-California Final set on the banks of Lake Erie
GENEVA, Ohio - There won't be barbecues, lawn chairs or complaining about traffic, but it'll still be a California party out near Lake Erie on Sunday afternoon.
Biola and Concordia will face off in the Western Water Polo Association Championship Final for the second time in three years after the Southern California rivals advanced on Semifinal Saturday.
Biola (10-20) dispatched No. 1 East seed and host Gannon (13-10) in a tight contest before Concordia (20-12) overpowered Fresno Pacific (5-19).
The 2025 WWPA Championship Final is set for tomorrow, Sunday, Nov. 23 at 1pm EST.
In 2023, Biola outlasted Concordia 18-12 for the Eagles' first conference title. Since that contest, Concordia has won three out of four subsequent meetings.
The teams split their two games in 2025, with Biola edging Concordia by a goal in the conference opener before CUI took back first place in the West with a win on Halloween night.

Postgame Interview
No. 2 West seed Biola led from start to finish in an 11-9 semifinal win over host Gannon.
The Eagles limited Gannon to just one goal in the first quarter and scored four of the first five goals of the game to grab an advantage they'd never relinquish.
Gannon did manage to make it a one-goal game with back-to-back scores late in the fourth quarter, but Isaac Demski's goal on BU's final offensive possession kept the late charge at bay.
Adam LaVoy, Nick Murray and Caleb Hernandez finished with three points apiece. An All-WWPA Defensive Team honoree, LaVoy posted five steals in this match alone and currently leads the entire tournament with 11 points over two matches.
Joshua Dachenhausen matched his Friday total with 11 more saves against the Golden Knights.
Dillon Shaw led GU with four goals on five shots during the contest. Bator Mohacsi made nine saves.
Gannon will face Fresno Pacific in the 3rd Place game Sunday morning (Nov. 23, 11am ET).
