The Western Water Polo Association's (WWPA) opening weekend was highlighted by a thrilling contest between West Region foes Cal State Monterey Bay and Biola at the Titan Invite.

Snapped a 10-game losing skid to conference-rival Biola by outlasting the Eagles 13-12 in double overtime in the second game of the Titan Invite … Emma Sosa and Stella Martin each logged hat tricks while Marissa White made 14 saves … Three of the Otters' four matches were decided by two goals or fewer … Kaya Eaton registered four goals in a two-goal loss to NCAA DI Cal State Fullerton … The Otters host Santa Clara in their home opener on Sat., Jan. 24, in Seaside.
