McKendree goalkeeper Sydney Kane took home her second WWPA Defensive Player of the Week honor of 2025 after anchoring McKendree to back-to-back wins at the Augustana Mini. She had 11 saves on a .688 save percentage with a season-high four steals against the host. She allowed the fewest goals (12) for any team in the conference despite being the only goalkeeper who appeared in two matches. The senior is top in the WWPA in steals (14), total saves (101) and save percentage (.552).
